Quebec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) is the main international airport serving Quebec City, located in the province of Quebec, Canada. It is located approximately 11 km (6mi) southwest of the downtown city centre.
The airport is Canada’s 12-busiest and includes more than ten airlines offering flights to destinations across Canada, the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America and Europe. In 2019, it was awarded “the number one spot for aviation photographers” by Digital Photography Review.
The airport at Quebec Jean Lesage consists of a single passenger terminal building.
It is divided in two levels, and upper level and a lower level.
Upon making your way into the front main entrance, the check-in area for departing passengers is located towards the left side of the lower level. Once checked in with boarding tickets, an elevator transports passengers upstairs to the second floor containing the Departures Hall and a security screening checkpoint.
Once cleared past security, travelers can enjoy shops and dining while they wait for their scheduled departure. The Departures Hall is a long curve-shaped pier. The Gates are numbered sequentially from left to right as you are facing the airside of the airport terminal.
On the lower level, is where the Arrivals Hall can be found. To the north side of the airport is where customs, border security and international baggage are located. To the south side of the lower level of the terminal, is where you can find the baggage carousels for domestic luggage and the service counters of rental car companies.
You can view our map at the top of this page for the terminal layout complete with the locations identified for security screening and checkpoint areas, shops and dining, and rental car services.
There are several options available for travelers who are looking to shop and dine while at the airport.
Dining options at the airport include fast food chains featuring family friendly menus, coffee and sandwich bars that are conveniently located on both sides of the security screening area, and a licensed pub establishment featuring a selection of popular breakfast, lunch and dinner meals, plus daily desserts and alcoholic beverages.
Shops at the airport include travel essentials, newspapers, magazines, and books, regional specialities including boutique and hand-crafted souvenirs, the latest in electronics and handheld accessories, and duty-free shopping on items such as alcohol and tobacco products, perfume and cosmetics.
The airport also offers massage chairs available near departure gate 29, available on a 24/7 basis for passengers.
