Newark International is the second busiest airport in the New York metropolitan area. Here you can see everything from terminals to transportation and car rentals.
New York is served by a number of large airports, one of them being Newark Liberty International Airport – more commonly known as just Newark Airport. The airport is located about 14 kilometers from Manhattan and is a hub for major operator United Airlines. From Newark Airport you find flights to most parts of the world with almost 200 different destinations.
Newark Airport has three passenger terminals – Terminal A, Terminal B and Terminal C. In total there are 125 gates across the airport. You can see the location of each terminal in the map at the top of the page.
Terminal A: This brand-new terminal has 33 gates and handles flights with operators JetBlue, Delta Air Lines, Air Canada and American Airlines.
Terminal B: At Terminal B you mostly find airlines from other countries than the US, like British Airways and Lufthansa.
Terminal C: Terminal C is exclusively operated by United Airlines, together with regional carrier United Express.
To get around the airport, the easiest way is to choose the airtrain. This connects the terminals to Newark Liberty International Airport Station, where you can continue your trip. For you as a passenger, the airtrain is free of charge between the terminals, parking lots and rental car facilities.
There are also several different bus transit lines that connect you to other parts of Newark, together with express buses to the Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan.
Are you looking to rent a car to get to and around New York? At Newark Airport you can find a large number of rental car agencies, with companies such as Hertz, Avis and Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
