Are you traveling to or from Sweden and want a guide to the country’s airports and their layouts? Learn more about Swedish air traffic and see all our airport maps.
In Sweden you find a couple of large international airports, together with a number of smaller domestic airports. The largest airport in the country is Stockholm Arlanda Airport, which is located about 40 kilometers outside the Swedish capital. The airport is well connected to the rest of Europe, and here you also find important direct connections with parts of North America and Asia.
On the west coast is the second largest Swedish airport – Gothenburg-Landvetter Airport. Just like Stockholm Arlanda, you can easily reach most parts of Europe if you are traveling from Gothenburg. Number three on the list of airports in Sweden is Malmö Airport. While being significantly smaller than number one and two, you can travel by direct flight to a number of European destinations from the airport.
As you can tell from the previous map, there are also lots of smaller airports around the country. The majority of them have a domestic focus, with direct routes to either of the two larger Swedish airports making it possible to travel to the rest of the world through connecting flights. In the north you find for example Luleå Airport and Umeå Airport, which both have frequent departures to Stockholm and/or Gothenburg.
When it comes to getting around the airport, at Airportmaps.com we have created easy-to-use maps of each of the larger airports making it simple to find terminals, gates and services. This will also help you locate for example transfer possibilities, rental cars and parking on-site.
