HotelArlanda Airport is located about 40 kilometers from the central parts of Stockholm. The airport is the largest one in Sweden and is well connected to the rest of Europe, with additional direct connections to parts of North America and Asia.
You find a number of major airlines working out of the airport, where the two with the most frequent flights are Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) and Norwegian Air Shuttle. The airport is also one of the main hubs for SAS.
There are four terminals at Stockholm Arlanda Airport – Terminal 2, Terminal 3, Terminal 4 and Terminal 5. Terminal 5 is the largest one, and is also where you find the highest number of international flight departures and arrivals. With that being said, all four terminals have both domestic and international flights. The most convenient way of transportation from the airport to the central parts of Stockholm is through airport rail link Arlanda Express. Arlanda Express has two stations at the airport, Arlanda South which supports Terminal 2, 3 and 4 and Arlanda North which is found by Terminal 5. Both stations are located right under the terminals.
Note! You can also use Arlanda Express to transfer between Terminal 4 and Terminal 5 – this is free of charge.
If you prefer to drive there is the possibility to rent a car at Arlanda Airport. The rental car agencies are found close to Terminal 2.
