There are several large international airports in New York, John F. Kennedy International Airport being the busiest one. The airport, commonly known as JFK, offers direct connections to almost 200 airports around the world and is an important hub in the US. JFK is also the main hub for American Airlines and Delta Air Lines, and the primary operating base for low cost operator JetBlue.

Terminal 1: This terminal is mainly served by carriers from the airline alliances Star Alliance and Oneworld. Some of the airlines working here are Air France, Air China and Lufthansa.
Terminal 4: Terminal 4 is the hub for Delta Air Lines, and you can also find flights with for example Avianca and Emirates here.
Terminal 5: The terminal opened in 2008 and designated for flights operated by JetBlue.
Terminal 7: Terminal 7 is home to for example Alaska Airlines, Air Canada and Aer Lingus.
Terminal 8: This is where you find American Airlines, British Airways and a number of other major airlines from the Oneworld alliance.
