Westchester County Airport (HPN) is a minor hub in the US state of New York located about three miles northeast of downtown White Plains. Because of its location, HPN is sometimes referred to as White Plains Airport and is considered a satellite airport for the New York metropolitan area. The airport is used by five airlines for their operations: American Airlines, BermudAir, Breeze Airways, Delta Air Lines, and JetBlue. These offer about 20 destinations, mostly in the USA, but with one exception in Bermuda. Back in 2023, Westchester County Airport handled over 2.2 million passengers, re-establishing itself as an important minor hub in New York.
The airport is relatively small and consists of a single terminal extending over three levels. HPN only has six gates but features two runways.
Due to its reduced size, Westchester County Airport is not equipped with sleeping pods. Those wanting to spend the night here should book a hotel in White Plains or other nearby areas.
Travelers will find a few eateries here, but apart from these, services are kept to the bare minimum.
