HotelSyracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR) is the main airport serving the city of Syracuse. The airport is located about five miles northeast of Syracuse's downtown area, and in 2023, it welcomed over 1.4 million passengers. At the moment, SYR is used by eight airlines. These offer a direct connection to 25 destinations in the USA, mostly located on the East Coast but with a few exceptions.
The airport consists of a single terminal building extending over two levels and divided into two main areas. The A area is on the south of the building, while the B area is on the north:
Level 1: This floor is home to check-in desks and arrivals, with baggage claim areas.
Level 2: The second floor is for security checkpoints and gates. Gates 1-15 are in Concourse A, while Gates 20-27 are in Concourse B.
Unfortunately, there are no sleeping cabins or pods inside the terminal. If you are planning to spend the night here, you should either find a hotel that provides a shuttle service, head to Syracuse or rely on a taxi.
Despite its reduced size, SYR has several amenities for its passengers. Here, you will find several eateries, plenty of vending machines, and a few stores for your last-minute purchases. Passengers traveling to this airport will also have access to ATMs, courtesy phones, and water refilling stations. Those with pets can use the pet relief area on the second floor, while parents can check out the baby care rooms available.
