Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHX) is the main airport serving the Halifax region of Nova Scotia, Canada. It is the 8th busiest airport in Canada and a focus city for Air Canada, Porter Airlines, and WestJet.
Located in the municipality of Goffs, it is named in honor of the 17th Premier of Nova Scotia and the former leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada.
The airport consists of a single building, called the Air Terminal Building (ATB). There is one main entrance for the building that is centrally located along the front side of the terminal.
Boarding gates are located on the airside. There is one pier towards the north end of the terminal (Gates 34-46) and two piers towards the south end of the terminal (Gates 2-4, 5-9).
At the north end of the building, is a new and expanded international arrivals area. The upper level of this area is reserved for United States border preclearance.
Gates located at the southern end of the terminal are used for domestic regional operations (Gates 2-9).

There are many dining options conveniently located at the airport before and after security. These include coffee shops, pre-packaged food and drink for takeaway, popular fast-food chains, gastropubs, sandwich shops, juice bars, pizzerias, Mexican cuisine and high-quality gourmet restaurants.
Shops at the airport feature convenience stores, press and media, regional specialty retailers, the latest in electronics and a local art galleria.
Public Transport: Halifax Transit Regional Express Route 320 provides a bus service between the airport and Downtown Halifax. Passenger baggage and luggage can be accommodated. Tickets are available for purchase at the Ground Transportation booth at Arrivals.
Maritime Bus services are also available and offer routes to many destinations throughout the local region.
Taxi: Taxi services are available outside of the Arrivals level. Pre-bookings are advised for travel during non-peak times.
Rideshare: The designated pickup spot for ridesharing services is on Silver Dart Drive. This is located south of the Halifax Transit bus stop.
Rental cars: Rental car service counters can be found across from the terminal, on the lower level of the parkade. Follow the signs from the Arrivals area to guide you there.
Parking: Parkade lots are available at hourly and daily rates. The parkade has a maximum vehicle height limit. An exterior parking lot is located a short walking distance from the airport. It is an open-air lot with no vehicle height restrictions.
