YEG Edmonton Airport is the largest airport in Canada. Use our map to find your way around the terminal including transportation from the airport.
Edmonton International Airport (YEG) is the main international airport serving the Edmonton Metropolitan Region of Canada. It is the largest airport in Canada by land area, and its fifth busiest.
Offering flights across Canada and to the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America and Europe, the airport serves as a headquarters for Flair Airlines, a low-cost Canadian carrier. It is also a focus city for Canadian carrier, WestJet.
The airport is a single, two-story terminal building. On the ground floor, is where arrivals and baggage claim are located. The departures level, shops and boarding gates are located on the upper first level.
Most of the gates that handle flights to the United States are located towards the south end of the main terminal (Gates 76-88).
There are many shops and dining options for travelers to explore while they are at the airport. Most of these are located close to the central hall and the domestic-international gates. This is towards the northern half of the main terminal building. There are, however, more shops and restaurants after clearing through U.S. security towards the southern portion of the terminal.
Dining options at the airport range from cafes and fast food, fresh foods and casual dining, to international cuisine, popular franchises, and high-quality sit-down restaurants and bars.
Shops at the airport feature the latest in electronics, fashion, jewelry, and local specialty items. There are also newsstands, bookstores, convenience stores and duty-free outlets that are available for shoppers to enjoy.
The airport has several lounges where passengers can relax and enjoy premium offerings. The Maple Leaf Lounge is located at Gate 54, there is a Plaza Premium Lounge at Gate 52, and a second Plaza Premium Lounge located after U.S. security towards the south end of the terminal building.
Bus: The Edmonton Transit System (ETS) runs an express service (Route 747) between the airport and Century Park Light Rail Transit Centre in Edmonton. From there, connections can be made to the wider transit system for the region. Route 747 services run every 30 minutes between 4:10am-12:00am. Ebus services are also available and run to nearby major cities of Red Deer, Calgary, and Fort McMurray.
Taxi: Taxi stands are located outside of the baggage claim area, next to Door 10, to the south of the car rental counters.
Car rentals: Several rental car companies have operations at the airport. They can be found on the ground level outside of the baggage claim area, next to Door 8.
Parking: There are several parking options available at the airport. Parkade parking is located directly across from the terminal at a covered lot, and value parking is available for longer-term stays at more affordable rates. Shuttle buses are available from the value parking lots. In addition, executive and valet parking services are also available for faster, more efficient access to the terminal and check-in areas.
