Birmingham Airport (BHX) is the UK's seventh-largest airport. It serves about 30 airlines and offers direct connections to 130 destinations in Europe, the Middle East, and the Indian subcontinent. BHX is also an operating base for popular airlines, including EasyJet, Ryanair, and TUI Airways.
For years, Birmingham Airport consisted of two separate terminals. However, these were later combined into a single terminal through the Millennium Link. This is equipped with 115 check-in desks, 58 self-service kiosks, and over 40 gates. If you want to know the location of each gate, we recommend that you take a look at the map above.
There are no hotels or sleeping pods inside BHX. If you plan to spend the night here, check out a few nearby accommodations; for instance, Novotel Hotel, Hilton Garden Inn Birmingham Airport, and Ibis Birmingham Airport are all located within a quick walk from the terminal.
Birmingham Airport has plenty of food options. Here, you will find all types of eateries, from world-renowned fast food chains and cafés to a supermarket for your last-minute purchases. BHX also features a Duty-Free store and other shops selling all sorts of goods, from books to sportswear, sunglasses, and more.
The free Air-Rail Link connects Birmingham Airport to Birmingham International Station. From here, you will find trains heading to plenty of destinations across the UK. If you're going to the city center, you can take one of the buses operating this route, including buses X1, X12, and 96.
Those who prefer to drive can rent a car from one of the agencies available on-site, such as Avis, Budget, Alamo, Europcar, Hertz, and Sixt.
