HotelEdinburgh Airport (EDI) is an international airport located in the Ingliston area of Edinburgh, Scotland. It is the busiest airport in Scotland and the sixth busiest airport in the United Kingdom. It is located 9.3km (5.8mi) west of the Edinburgh city centre.
The airport is located within a single terminal. It has a total of 29 gates numbered sequentially. There are two piers within the terminal.
Main Pier: A two-storey building that houses all the check-in desks, security checkpoints and departure gates. It is located inside the main entrance area. It contains Gates 1-6 and 7-12 as shown in the map at the top of this page.
South East Pier: The newer of the two piers and is located to the south east of the entrance area. It contains Gates 13-23 as shown in our map at the top of this page.

There are several dining options, shops and amenities located on both sides of airport security.
Before security, the Main Pier offers several amenities including those for baggage and currency exchanges, baby changing facilities, multi faith prayer rooms, two cafes and a sit-down restaurant.
After clearing security, located in the Main Pier, are several more dining options including cafes, bars, and restaurants. There are also a variety of retail shops to choose from including fashion, local retailers, and duty free items.
The airport offers a total of four lounges for travelers. Two of these are located in the Main Pier and two are located in the South East Pier, between Gates 12 and 13.
Tram: Trams are one of the most convenient options for getting to and from the airport with frequent services to Edinburgh city centre and onwards to Newhaven. Trams depart every 7 minutes, between 7am and 7pm, and every 10 minutes early in the morning and later in the evening. The first tram departs at 6:26am and the last tram departs at 10:48am.
Train: Integrated rail and tram links are available to connect the trams leaving the airport to main Edinburgh stations.
Car rentals: Car hire services are available at the airport. These are located a short walk from the terminal building, along the covered walkway next to the multi-story car parking garage.
Taxi: The official taxi company for Edinburgh Airport is Capital Cars. The taxi rank can be located in the East Terminus, a short walk from arrivals.
Parking: There are a variety of parking options available for guests. These include short-stay parking, a pick-up and drop-off area, longer term stay parking, valet parking, a multi-storey parking garage and underground terminal parking lots.
The airport has two Hilton hotels located just minutes away from the terminal. Hampton by Hilton is accessible by foot from the terminal, and Doubletree by Hilton is accessible via free shuttle bus.
