Located 7 km southwest of Ibiza Town, Ibiza Airport (IBZ) is one of the Balearic Islands's main hubs and served 8.9 million passengers in 2023. It offers over 150 destinations connecting this island to countries in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, America, and even the Asia-Pacific region. It's important to specify that most of these are seasonal routes as Ibiza experiences a boost of tourism in the summer months to then empty in the winter. This airport also serves the island of Formentera, as there are no airports there.
Ibiza Airport consists of a single terminal divided into two floors.
Ground Floor: The ground floor is home to the arrivals and 71 check-in desks, only 21 of which remain open during the winter months.
First Floor: The first floor houses the gates, passport controls for departing passengers, and security checks.
Famous fast-food chains - including Subway and Burger King - are available at the airport, with some cafés and restaurants serving local food. Most of these are located on the first floor.
You can travel to and from the airport by car, bus, or taxi.
Bus: If you are relying on public transport, take bus 10. This stops at Ibiza bus station, Formentera's ferry port, and San Jorge's port.
Car Hire: You can rent a car from one of the agencies operating at the airport, such as Avis and Enterprise.
Taxi: Taxis also connect the airport to all sorts of destinations in Ibiza. You will find taxi stands outside the terminal building.
