St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE) is a joint public-military airport serving the Tampa Bay Area. It is categorized as a small-hub primary commercial facility and handles flights for mostly low-cost carriers.
The airport serves as an operating base for Allegiant Air. It is located 9mi (14km) north of downtown St. Petersburg, 7mi (11km) southeast of Clearwater, and 17mi (27km) southwest of Tampa.
The airport has one terminal with two gate areas. They are known as the A-Side and the B-Side.
A-Side: Located on the right side of the terminal. Gates 1-6. Gate 1 is for Arrivals only.
B-Side: Located on the left side of the terminal. Gates 7-12. Gate 12 is for Arrivals only.

There are several dining options for travelers at the airport. Conveniently located before security and between Gates A and B, there is a newsstand which also features a Dunkin’ Donuts coffee and breakfast shop. On the second floor, pre-security, there is a full-service restaurant and bar. It can be easily reached using the East Elevator.
Once clearing security, on the A-Side there is a convenience store with packaged foods and beverage for takeaway, a coffee shop, and a restaurant featuring breakfast, lunch and dinner menus, and alcoholic beverages.
On the B-Side after clearing security, there is a convenience store and an Italian fresh foods market that features sandwiches, salads, breakfast and alcoholic beverages. Also, on the B-Side of the airport there is a duty-free shopping outlet for passengers of international flights.
Taxi: Taxis are located outside of the baggage claim area near the ground transportation area on the west side of the terminal building.
Rideshares: Ridesharing companies operate pick-ups in front of the terminal at Arrivals. Drop-offs are in front of the terminal at Departures.
Public Transit: There is no public transportation available at the airport terminal.
Rental car: Car rental companies are located near baggage claim. Depending on the time of day, some rental agencies may be operating from the rental car parking lot.
Parking: Parking options at the airport include short-term lots, long-term lots, and economy parking featuring a shuttle bus to and from the airport.
