William P. Hobby Airport (HOU), colloquially referred to as “Houston Hobby” is an international airport serving Houston, Texas in the United States. It is an operating base for Southwest Airlines and is the fifth largest airport in Southwest’s network.
It is located 7mi (11km) southeast of downtown Houston.
The airport has a single terminal, with two concourses:
Central Concourse: Primary concourse for domestic flights and flights operated by Southwest Airlines. It has 30 gates.
West Concourse: Primary concourse for international flights. It has 5 gates.

There are a variety of dining options at the airport. Most of these consist of cafes, fast food and takeaway options, however sit-down dining options are available as well, along with kid-friendly and vegetarian menus.
The airport has many shops for passenger to explore. Retail shops include convenience, gifts and souvenirs, accessories, apparel, beauty and wellness, children’s toys, press and newsstands, the latest in electronics and Duty Free.
Taxi: Taxi stands are located outside the Arrivals level, near Curb Zone 2. Follow the “Taxi” signs. Airport personnel are available to assist with arrangements for hailing a taxicab.
Ridesharing: Rideshare services are available outside the baggage claim area. Follow signs to “Ground Transportation” and “Ride App.” Pickup area is located at Curb Zone 5.
Limousines: All limousine drivers must be badged. Drivers are prohibited from soliciting fares. Limousine services can be found at the baggage claim area near Arrivals.
Bus: Public bus transport METRO Bus 40 runs services between the airport and downtown Houston and the Convention Center. Transit time takes approximately one hour.
Car rentals: Several rental car agencies have operations at the airport. These can be found at the baggage claim area. Additional services can be found at the rental car facility. The airport offers a free shuttle bus between the terminal, at Curb Zone 1, and the rental car facility centre.
Parking: The airport offers several parking services operating 24/7, 365 days a year. Facilities operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, valet parking services and terminal parking with priority access are available, as are economy parking lot areas.
