Dallas Love Field (DAL) is the second largest airport serving Dallas, Texas. It is the birthplace of Southwest Airlines, its corporate headquarters, and serves as a major operating base for the airline at present.
Southwest Airlines maintains a dominant share of the activity taking place at the airport, with some estimates reaching as high as 95%. The airport is located 6mi (9.7km) northwest of downtown Dallas.
The airport consists of a single terminal. It has a main entrance and check-in area. Past the security checkpoint, there is a long concourse with 20 gates.
