With its strategic location in the Middle East, it’s no surprise that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is an important connecting hub when it comes to international flights. In the UAE you actually find the airport in the world that welcomes the largest number of international passengers every year – Dubai International Airport (DXB). DXB Airport offers more than 260 non-stop destinations spread out over more than 100 countries. The airport is also an important hub to UAE flag carrier Emirates.

Dubai International is not the only major airport in the UAE and in Abu Dhabi you find the second largest airport in the country. Abu Dhabi International Airport, with IATA code AUH, is well connected to both Europe and other parts of Asia, with the addition of some non-stop destinations in North America and Africa.

Next on the list of the busiest airports in the country are Sharjah International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport in Jebel Ali. The majority of the connections from Sharjah International are with other parts of Asia, while Al Maktoum International Airport has a focus on connecting the country to airports in Europe.
