HotelZayed International Airport (AUH) is not only one of the main airports in the UAE but also one of the busiest in the Middle East. In 2023, it registered almost 23 million passengers thanks to the roughly 30 airlines operating here and flying to over 100 destinations worldwide. Also known as Abu Dhabi Airport, Zayed International is located 30 km east of the UAE’s capital.
Abu Dhabi Airport was once home to several terminals, but today, all flights are operated from Terminal A. This consists of four concourses (A-D) connected by a central hall.
Those wanting to spend the night at Zayed International Airport can do so in the newly built (2024) AUHotel. Other nearby accommodations offer a complimentary shuttle service to the terminal.
Abu Dhabi Airport has several eateries to choose from. Here, you will find renowned fast-food chains and coffee houses, such as Starbucks, MacDonald’s, and Burger King.
Plenty of buses connect Zayed International Airport to the city center. Travelers can use the shuttle services between the terminal and the Ibn Battuta bus station. Tickets for the shuttle service can be purchased at the arrivals hall. Car rental agencies such as Dollar, Europe Car, Hertz, Thrifty, and Avis are also available on-site for those who prefer to drive.
