Located about 35 km north of Riyadh, King Khaled International is one of the busiest airports in the Middle East and Saudi Arabia. Over 55 airlines operate here, offering flights to plenty of international and domestic destinations. Once the largest in the world, today, King Khaled International remains one of the biggest airports worldwide thanks to its many terminals.
This airport is divided into five terminals connected by a free shuttle. Terminals 1, 2, and 3 are in the same building, so you can easily walk between them.
The airport is also home to a Royal Terminal for celebrities and other important visitors and a General Aviation Terminal for private flights.
Those planning to spend a night at the airport can book a room at the Radisson Hotel Riyadh Airport or Riyadh Airport Marriott Hotel. None of these is on airport grounds, but they are the closest options and offer a free shuttle to the airport.
The airport is home to several duty-free stores and a variety of shops selling all sorts of products. Here, you will also find some lounges, lots of famous eateries and cafès, and the King Khalid International Airport's grand mosque, which can be reached via free shuttle.
Several taxis and shuttles connect the airport to nearby destinations. You can check the airport's official page to learn more about these. Alternatively, you can rent a car from one of the many agencies available. If you're traveling in your own car, you can park it in one of the three parking areas at the airport for the price of 10 SAR per hour. A Park Valet is also available in terminals 3, 4, and 5.
