Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) is a country-owned public-use airport serving Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in the United States. It is the second busiest airport in the state of South Carolina.
Located 3mi (5km) southwest from the Myrtle Beach central business district, it is situated on what was formerly the site of the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base.
The airport consists of a single building, two-storey terminal. It has two concourses, A and B.
Concourse A: The lower level contains the ticketing area for Departures and the baggage claim area for Arrivals. There is also a coffee shop and bakery located on the first floor near the main lobby.
On the upper level, there are several restaurants and shops. In addition, the boarding gates are located on the upper level, down the hallway of the pier containing Gates A (A1-A7) as shown on the map at the top of this page.
Concourse B: Contains boarding Gates B (B1-B5) on the airside of the pier. There are also some restaurants, and a shop located within the concourse, across the hallway from the boarding gates.
There are a variety of places for travelers to dine while at the airport. Options include cafes, fast food outlets, casual dining, Mexican cuisine, Southern-style gourmet, sit-down restaurants, licensed bar and grills and takeaway with packaged foods and drink that you can take with you on the airplane.
The airport also features several newsstands conveniently located in both terminals. These offer the latest in press, along with magazines, souvenirs, gifts and convenience items.
Public Transport: Coast RTA runs a Route 15S that makes regular stops at the airport. Services operate daily from 7:00am-8:00pm.
Taxi: Taxis can be found outside Door 6 next to the baggage claim area.
Rideshare: The designated pick-up spot for ridesharing at the airport is in the commercial lane, across from Door 5 at the terminal exit.
Rental Car: Several car rental companies have operations at the airport’s Rental Car Center. It is located within walking distance from the main terminal building.
Parking: Several parking options are available at the airport. A short-term lot is located directly across from the main terminal building. A lot for longer-term stays is available a further distance away from the airport. Economy lots are also available. These are accessible to the airport via golf cart shuttle services.
