Long Beach Airport (LGB) is located about 5 km northwest of Long Beach, a coastal city near Los Angeles, California. Also known as Daugherty Field after a local aviator, this airport is now used by three airlines: Hawaiian Airlines, Delta, and Southwest. These offer direct routes to over 20 destinations all over the USA. In 2023, LGB welcomed over 3.7 million passengers, re-establishing itself as an important hub in the area.

Long Beach Airport Terminal and Gates Map

Long Beach Airport consists of a single terminal with a classic 1941 design, which has recently been restored. This is divided into two buildings and two concourses connected by an open-air area. The south building is home to the ticketing lobby and TAS checkpoints, while the north building is for arriving passengers and features baggage claim areas 1 and 2. The south concourse houses Gates 1-4, while the north one is home to Gates 5-11.

Hotels at Long Beach Airport

Due to its reduced size, Long Beach Airport doesn’t feature any sleeping pods or transit hotels. However, its convenient location makes it easy for passengers to find a nearby accommodation where to spend the night. Some hotels in the area also provide a shuttle to LGB.

Services at Long Beach Airport

Services at Long Beach Airport are quite limited. The airport features two ATMs, one in the ticketing counters area and one in the south concourse. Some charging stations are available in the airside area, along with a nursing room for mothers. Apart from these, LGB features six eateries and a couple of shops selling souvenirs and other products.
