Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) is the primary airport serving Cleveland, and the greater Northeastern region of Ohio. It is the largest and busiest airport in Ohio and among the fifty busiest airports in the United States.
Located 9mi (14km) southwest of Downtown Cleveland, the airport serves as an operating base for Frontier Airlines and United Airlines. It sits directly adjacent Glenn Research Center, one of NASA’s ten major field centers.
The airport is a single terminal building with two levels, and three concourses.
On the ground floor level, is where baggage claim, and ground transportation connections are located.
On the upper level, is the location of the main terminal, including ticketing stations, security checkpoints, and boarding gates.
Concourse A: Located to the north side of the airport. Handles all international arrivals, and most flights for Frontier and Spirit. It is home to Gates A (A1-A14).
Concourse B: Centrally located among the concourses, directly ahead from the main terminal entrance. Handles most flights for Delta and Southwest. It is home to Gates B (B1-B11).
Concourse C: Located on the south side of the airport. Handles most flights for Air Canada, Alaska, American, JetBlue, and United. It is home to Gates C (C2-C29).

There are several shops and dining outlets located in the main terminal area, next to the ticketing stations. These include a newsstand, coffee shop, several fast-food restaurants and a licensed pub.
Once past the security clearing area in the three concourses there are many more shops for travelers to enjoy. These include restaurants, juice bars, specialty gourmet, desserts and bakeries and shops featuring the latest in fashion, jewelry, accessories, apparel, electronics, children’s games and toys, bookstores and pharmacy.
The airport also features The Club Cle, next to the entrance of Concourse B, and the United Club lounge next to Gate C-14.
Public Transit: The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) Red Line provides regular service between the airport and downtown Cleveland via the Tower City Station. Trains depart every 15 minutes during regular hours. Transit time takes approximately 30 minutes. The RTA station is located on the lower level of the main terminal.
Taxi: Taxis can be located at the south end of the baggage claim area. Services are available 24/7. Outside of regular hours (5:00am-11:00pm) taxis need to be booked via the telephone.
Rental cars: Several companies operate from the rental car facility, located off the airport grounds. Shuttle buses run from the airport, at the north end of the ground transportation area, to the rental car facility continuously 24/7. Transit time takes approximately 5-7 minutes.
Parking: The airport features several on-site parking options. These include a multi-level parking garage with direct terminal access, surface lots with and without direct terminal access, economy lots with shuttle bus services, and curbside valet parking for an additional fee.
