Indira Gandhi Airport (DEL) is the primary international airport serving New Delhi, the capital of India, and the surrounding National Capital Region (NCR). It is located 15km (9.3mi) southwest of the New Delhi Railway Station and 16km (9.9mi) southwest of the New Delhi city centre. It is a major hub or focus destination for many Indian carriers including Air India, Alliance Air, IndiGo, and SpiceJet.
It is the busiest airport in India and in all of Asia, the second largest airport in the world in terms of seating capacity, and frequently cited as being one of the busiest airports in the world.
The airport has three terminals. They are named, Terminal 1D, Terminal 2, Terminal 3.
Terminal 1D: Located in the northeast corner. Primarily used by low-cost domestic carriers, including SpiceJet and IndiGo.
Terminal 2: Located in the southwest corner. Primarily handles domestic flights.
Terminal 3: Located in the southwest corner. Handles international flights (Gates 1-26) and domestic flights (Gates 27-62).

Terminal 1D has its own pick-up and drop-off area. Terminals 2 and 3 are co-located together. The location of the terminals, their pick-up and drop-off locations, and gates can be found using our map at the top of this page.
Indira Gandhi Airport has a variety of dining options available to choose from. These include bars, cafes, coffee shops, casual dining, food courts, takeaway, quick service restaurants and local Indian cuisine.
The airport features a wide range of shops for travelers including fashion and apparel, convenience, travel, newsstands, accessories, gifts, the latest in electronics and duty-free items.
Additionally, there are lounges available for guests to relax and enjoy amenities such as premium food, Wi-Fi, business facilities, showers, and yoga and sleeping rooms.
There is one hotel at the airport, the Holiday Inn Express. It can be found in Terminal 3, a short walk from the Departures gates. Facilities include gym, aqua pods, free Wi-Fi and breakfast.
Metro Airport Express: High-speed rail by Delhi Metro Rail connects the airport to New Delhi Railway Station via the “Orange” Line. Estimated travel time is 23 minutes.
Train: The airport is directly connected to Delhi by railway. The Delhi Route Relay Interlocking system is the world’s largest of its kind.
Bus: Shuttle buses run every 30 minutes, connecting the airport to central parts of Delhi, including the Interstate Bus Terminal. The bus stop is located opposite Centaur Hotel, nearly 2km from Terminal 3 and 6.5km from Terminal 1. Services operate 24/7.
Taxi: Taxi cabs and ridesharing options are available outside of the Arrivals area at all three terminals.
