Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport (PVD) is a public international airport in Warwick, Rhode Island, in the United States. It is located 6 miles (5 km) south of the state’s capital and largest city, Providence.

The airport is the first state-owned airport in the United States and is categorized as a small-hub primary commercial facility. It is the largest and most active airport among the six airports operated by the Rhode Island Airport Corporation. It services an estimated 7.5 million passengers annually, most of them residing within a 90-minute radius of the airport’s location.

Rhode Island Airport: Terminal and gate map

The airport’s terminal is named after former Rhode Island governor, Bruce Sundlun.

The main entrance area for the airport is located to the west side of the terminal building. Inside the main entrance, the Departures Hall holds the area for ticketing counters and access to the security checkpoint area.

Beyond the security checkpoint area, there is a long pier-shaped hallway that contains all of the airport’s boarding gates.

This part of the airport terminal contains two concourses, North and South.

• South Concourse contains Gates 1-8
• North Concourse contains Gates 9-22

Gates 7-8 are designed specifically for international arrivals. These gates are directly connected to the customs area. This customs area is located on the lower level of the concourse.

The Arrivals Hall is also located on the lower level of the airport terminal building. Here you can also find the airport’s baggage claim stations. There is also access to ground level transportation systems found outside the airport terminal and directly in front of the main entrance.

There are several popular places for travelers to grab a bite to eat while they are at the airport. These include coffee and donut shops, artisan pastries, gastropubs, juice bars, takeaway, sandwich bars and licensed bar and grille establishments featuring gourmet and specialty menus.

The airport also offers several shops and retailers for visitors and guests to explore. These include popular souvenirs and gift shoppes, newsstands and bookstores, locally crafted jewelry and glassware, fashion and apparel and convenience items for your last minute needs.

There are also a host of amenities that travelers can enjoy. These include escape lounges, reflection, meditation and prayer rooms, a military lounge for veterans, service animal relief areas, nursing rooms for new mothers, and free Wi-Fi service throughout the airport.

Find transportation from the airport: InterLink, Bus, Train, Taxi, Parking

InterLink: The InterLink is a transportation hub that services many different transportation functions. It is accessible via a skywalk to the airport terminal, commuter trains, and holds a consolidated rental car facility and parking lot. It is located at 700 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick, RI.

Bus: There are multiple bus services that make stops in front of the airport. These connect with the bus hub in downtown Providence as well as the Interlink facility.

Train: Weekday services are available for commuter rail services that run between the airport and downtown Providence stations. Connections are available to several nearby cities as well.

Taxi: Taxis are available in the “Primary Taxi Pick-Up” location outside the Lower Level of the airport, next to the Arrivals Hall.

Parking: Several parking lots are available at the airport. There is a premium covered garage lot, with closest access to the terminal, a value lot located slightly further away offering daily rates, an overnight parking lot directly across from the main entrance to the terminal, and two economy lots that feature shuttle bus services running between them and the airport location.
