Mehrabad Airport (THR) is an airport serving Tehran, the capital and most populous city of Iran. It is one of the oldest airports in Iran and primarily serves domestic flights.
It is used by the Government of Iran and serves as one of the bases of the Iranian Air Force. The airport is also a hub for Iran Air, the national flag carrier of Iran, as well as many other smaller regional and domestic airlines.
The airport consists of three terminals. They are named Terminal 1, 2 and 4.
Terminal 1: The northernmost of the three terminals. Primarily used for flights of Kish Air and Zagros Air.
Terminal 2: Located directly south of Terminal 1 in an adjacent building. Primarily used for flights of Iran Air, Ata Air and Qeshm Air.
Terminal 4: Much smaller building located away and to the southeast of the airport grounds. Primarily used by Mahan Air.
Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are located adjacent to each other. They share a common pick-up and drop-off zone for ground transportation purposes. Terminal 1 is located to the north side of Terminal 2. Each terminal has its own security checkpoint, and each offers shops and dining options for passengers.
Airside boarding gates are located on the west side of both Terminals 1 and 2.
There is a rental car counter located in Terminal 2.
Terminal 4 has its own pick-up and drop-off area, and its own security clearing area. It is a much smaller building in size than Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. There are shops located in the terminal for the enjoyment and convenience of passengers.

The airport offers several options for travelers looking for something to eat while they wait at the airport. These include coffee shops, sandwich shops and fast-food restaurants.
There are also several different retailers for passengers to explore while they are at the airport. These include handmade and locally produced crafts, books, souvenirs, gifts, leather goods, as well as a duty-free outlet that features the latest in selections of perfumes, cosmetics and other luxury good items.
Other amenities at the airport include multi-faith prayer rooms, mother-and-child rooms, in addition to ATM’s and bank services.
Metro: Tehran Metro has two stations at the airport. Tehran Metro is a rapid transit system serving Tehran and is the largest metro system in the Middle East. The two stations are located outside the entrance for Terminals 1 and 2, and outside of Terminal 4.
The airport is the headquarters of Iran Air and the Iran Civil Aviation Organization. The Iranian Airports Company has its head offices at Terminal 2.
