It welcomed over 6 million passengers in 2022, and it is used by over 30 airlines for both domestic and international flights. SOF is connected via direct flight to over 80 destinations, mostly in Europe but with a few exceptions in Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. This airport also serves as a home base for Bulgaria Air, BH Air, GullivAir, and European Air Charter, as well as a base for low-cost airlines, including Ryanair and Wizz Air.
