Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF), also known as Louisville International Airport and Standiford Field, is a civil-military airport located in Louisville, Jefferson County of Kentucky in the United States.
Despite being named as an international airport, it does not currently offer any regularly scheduled routes to international destinations. However, it does handle international cargo flights for UPS Airlines through its worldwide air hub, UPS Worldport. It is the third-busiest airport for cargo traffic in the United States and sixth busiest in the world.
The airport is named after the famous boxer and a Louisville native, Muhammad Ali as of 2019.
The main passenger terminal building at the airport is called The Jerry E. Abramson Terminal.
It has two floors, or levels. On the first lower level is access to ground transportation and baggage claim. On the upper, or second level, is the area of passenger drop offs, ticketing stations, and concourse areas.
On the upper level, past the ticketing stations there are several spots where travelers can stop for food and drink or to enjoy some shopping activities.
Beyond the shopping area, there is a rotunda that contains a security checkpoint zone and access to the airport’s two main concourses, Concourse A and Concourse B.
Concourse A is located to the left of the rotunda and contains Gates A1-A15.
Concourse B is located to the right of the rotunda and contains Gates B2-B19.
You can use our airport map at the top of this page to view the complete terminal layout including the locations for the boarding gates, security checkpoint area, and rental car service counters.
Most of the shops and diners at the airport can be found just inside the ticketing area and within the rotunda that connects the security checkpoint with the two concourses.
