Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport (SAW) is an international airport serving Istanbul, Turkey. It is one of the largest airports in Turkey and one of the busiest airports in the Middle East.

Named after the first female fighter pilot in the world, the airport is located 32 km (20 mi) southeast of the Istanbul city center. It serves as the operating base for both AJet and Pegasus Airlines.

Istanbul Airport: Terminal and gate map

The airport is a single terminal building holding up to 25 million passengers annually. It serves both domestic and international flights under the same roof.

It features 112 check-in counters, in addition to 24 online check-in counters, a VIP building and business lounges.

Security scanners are located towards the front of the airport, near the main entrance area. There are several duty-free shopping centres once you are cleared past security. Boarding gates are located airside along a long hallway pier to the southside of the airport terminal building.

Dining and shops at Istanbul Airport

There are many dining options available at the airport. These range from quick snacks, coffees and pastries, to Turkish and Italian local cuisines and delicacies.

Shopping at the airport includes options located both before and after clearing security. Retailers include beauty and cosmetics, fashion, apparel and accessories, gifts, souvenirs and toys, jewelry and duty-free prices on many premium brand offerings.

Find transportation from the airport: Bus, subway, rental cars, taxi

Bus: Several municipal bus services run transport to and from the airport. The bus stations are located directly outside of the Arrivals Hall area.

Subway: The Metro Istanbul subway line runs services from several locations at the airport. Pickup and drop-off spots can be found at the Terminal Lounge, the Airport Hotel, and the Parking Lot.

Rental cars: Several rental car offices are located at the airport. They can be found in the Arrivals Hall, and operate services on a 24/7 basis.

Taxi: Taxi services are available 24/7 outside the main entrance area at the taxi ranks.

Parking: Multiple parking lot services are available, including valet parking. Their locations can be found using the map at the top of this page.

Istanbul Airport offers a four-storey hotel with 128 rooms adjacent to the terminal. It is located to the west side of the main terminal building entrance as shown in our map on this page.
