With over 12 million passengers traveling to and from this airport in 2023, Ankara Esenboğa (ESB) is one of the main hubs in Turkey. Located about 28 km north of the capital’s city center, this airport is used by roughly 20 airlines, providing direct flights to over 70 destinations, mostly in Europe and the Middle East.
This airport consists of a single large terminal building divided into three floors:
Arrival Level: This level is divided into an international and domestic area. Apart from the arrivals, here you will find a few cafès and a prayer room.
Departure Level: Similar to the arrivals, the departure level is divided into two main areas: one for domestic flights and one for international flights. Here, you will find several stores and eateries as well as duty-free stores.
Mezzanine Level: The mezzanine level is home to a few eateries and restaurants, as well as toilet facilities.
At the moment, there are no hotels inside the airport or in its vicinity. Your best option is to book a room in Ankara city center or opt for the Ibis Ankara Airport, which is roughly 2.5 km from the terminal.
