Chișinău Airport (RMO) is the main international airport serving Moldova. It operates as the headquarters for Moldova’s national flag carrier, Air Moldova.

The airport is located 13km (8.1mi) southeast of Chișinău, the nation’s capital city. It is the only airport in Moldova offering regular passenger flights.

The airport is a single building terminal, with two storeys.

On the ground floor level, is the entrance for Departures. Centrally located within the main terminal area, are the check-in counters. To the right of the check-in counters, there is a passport control centre. Located towards the southwest corner of the ground floor level are the Departure gates.

There is duty free shopping also on the ground floor level, next to the departure gates.

On the second floor there is a large waiting area for passengers, centrally located. In the northwest corner on the second floor, there is a lounge area as well as a play area for children, a VIP lounge area, café and restaurant. There is also a pub on the second level, located next to the washrooms on the east side of the main stairways.

Arrival gates are located in the southeast corner of the main terminal building, on the ground floor. Immediately past the Arrivals gates, there is a passport control area, car rental counters, the main baggage claim area, and customs desks.

There is also a bar located in the northeast corner of the main terminal on the ground floor level, next to a large waiting area for guests to meet and pick-up passengers.

Dining and shops at Chisinau Airport

Duty free shopping can be found located next to the passport control on the way to the Departure gates on the ground level. There is also a café, restaurant and two lounge areas on Level 2 of the Departures area. In addition, there is a pub located on the east side of the second level opposite the main lounge areas.

In the Arrivals area on the ground floor, there is a Green Café next to the waiting area for guests. It features coffees and fresh sandwiches. There is also a bar located in the southeast corner, next to the terminal exits.

Public transport: A trolleybus, Route 30, makes direct trips between the airport and downtown Chișinău.

Taxi: Express Car services offer passengers direct transport from the airport. Pre-bookings are strongly recommended.

Car rentals: There are several car rental companies with operations at the airport. Their service counters can be found located next to the Arrivals gates, on the ground floor level.

Parking: There is a multi-storey parking garage located immediately opposite the terminal outside the Arrivals area. It is equipped with video surveillance and mostly contains covered parking spaces. Uncovered parking spaces are available on the fourth upper level. Car park services are available 24/7.
