Cork Airport (ORK) is the second-largest international airport in Ireland. It is an operating base for Ryanair and a focus city for Aer Lingus. The airport is located 6.5km (4.0mi) south of Cork City centre.

The airport consists of a single terminal. It has one pick-up and drop-off area. There is a security checkpoint area beyond which the departure gates are located.

Dining and shops at Cork Airport

The airport offers dining and shops, conveniently located before and after security for guests and passengers. Prior to clearing security, these include cafes, bookstores, and a shop featuring fresh and organic foods.

Once having passed through the security checkpoint area, there are more shops, including a premium style coffee bar, and restaurants featuring the best in local and gourmet cuisine.

There is also an Aspire Lounge, offering comfortable seating, free Wi-Fi, newspapers, magazines, and complimentary food and drink selections.

Train: Kent Railway Station in Cork city offers services via Irish Rail, to all major rail-linked towns and cities in Ireland. Kent Station can be reached from the airport by taxi or bus.

Bus: Bus services are located in front of the main terminal building. Tickets can be purchased at the bus stop, or from vending machines located outside the terminal building.

Taxi: Taxi ranks are located in front of the terminal building.

Rental Car: There are several car rental companies with operations at the airport. Their counters and service desks can be located throughout the Arrivals area.

Parking: The airport offers both short-term and long-term parking options. Short-term parking is available at the multi-story car park. It is within walking distance of the terminal via covered walkway. Long-term parking is available at two lots. The Express Red Car Park is located within walking distance of the terminal and is the closer of the two long-term car parks to the airport. Holiday Blue Car Park is the cheaper of the two long-term lots. It is located a further distance from the main airport terminal building.

Hotel at the airport

The Cork International Hotel is a 4-star hotel located approximately a 5-minute walk from the airport. It is one of the highest rated hotels in the local Cork area. Free shuttle buses are available between the hotel and the airport.
