Kahului Airport (OGG) is the main airport serving Maui in Hawaii. About ten airlines currently use this airport for their operations, offering direct routes to other islands in Hawaii and several destinations in the USA, with a few exceptions in Canada. Located only two miles east of Kahului, this airport welcomed a total of 7 million passengers in 2023.
The airport is divided into two terminals: a Main Terminal and a Commuter Terminal. The two are located next to each other, and passengers can easily walk between them.
Main Terminal: This is where most flights are operated. This terminal is divided into two floors. The first floor is for arriving passengers, and you will find baggage carousels and all sorts of transportation options. This is also where airlines’ ticket counters are located. The second level is home to the gates and is divided into two concourses.
Commuter Terminal: The Commuter Terminal only has one floor and is way smaller in size. This is where some inter-island flights are operated, and it therefore offers basic amenities and services.
Unfortunately, there are no sleeping cabins or pods inside the terminal building. If you are planning to spend the night here, your best option is to rely on a taxi and head to one of the accommodations near the airport, such as Courtyard Maui Kahului Airport.
Despite its reduced size, OGG airport offers several amenities to its passengers. Here, you will find a visitor information center, some pet relief areas, and a few ATMs. The airport is also home to several eateries, including famous food options such as Starbucks and Burger King. OGG also features shops selling all kinds of products and a duty-free store.
If you are about to head to Kahului Airport, here are a few transportation options for you to check.
Bus: Route 40 (Upcountry Islander) and Route 35 (Haiku Islander) serve the airport and have stops right in front of the terminal.

Car Hire: Several car rental agencies are also available at the airport.
