HotelLouis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) is an international airport and the primary airport serving the New Orleans metropolitan area and southeast Louisiana.
The airport is situated 11mi (18km) west of downtown New Orleans. At an average elevation of 4.5 feet above sea level, MSY is the third lowest-lying international airport in the world.
The airport is a single terminal with three concourses.
The main terminal building has three levels. Arrivals and baggage claim can be found on the ground floor. Security screening is on the second floor. On the third floor are Departures and ticketing.
Extending from the main terminal area, are three Concourses are named A, B, and C:
Concourse A: All international flights are processed as part of this concourse. It has a customs area and is where Gates A (A1-A6) are located.
Concourse B: Gates B (B1-B14).
Concourse C: Gates C (C1-C14).

The airport has many dining options for travelers to enjoy while waiting at the airport. These are conveniently located throughout the airport and include cafes, restaurants, fast food, casual dining, and local and national brands.
Shops at the airport feature newsstands, bookstores, candy shops, travel essentials, fashion, apparel and accessories, jewelry and collectibles.
Additionally, there are several lounges where passengers can relax and unwind. These can be found in both Concourse A, and Concourse B, as well as near the baggage claim area.
Public transit: Jefferson Transit Authority (JET) and Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) provide regular services to and from the airport. Bus stops are available from the baggage claim area on Level 1, outside Door 2, Zones B4 and B5.
Taxi: Taxi services are available at the Arrivals Curb, outside Level 1, near Baggage Claim Door 7.
Ridesharing: Ride app services pickup passengers outside of the Level 1 Baggage Claim area, near Doors 9-11, on the middle curb.
Car rentals: Several car rental companies have operations at the Rental Car Center. Free shuttle services run from the airport. These can be found located in front of the Long-Term Parking Garage.
Parking: Several parking services are available at the airport. These include valet services, short-term and long-term options, as well as covered and surface lot parking, and economy garages.
