Keflavik Airport (KEF), also known as Reykjavik Airport, is the largest airport in Iceland. It is Iceland’s main hub for international transportation. Most international journeys to or from Iceland, pass through this airport.
The airport is only used for international flights. All domestic flights in Iceland use a different airport. Iceland’s national flag carrier, Icelandair, uses Keflavik Airport as its main hub. The airport is also a hub for the airline Play, a low-cost Icelandic carrier. The airport is located 3km (1.9mi) west of the town of Keflavik.
The airport has a single terminal.

There are many dining options for airport guests, conveniently located on both sides of security. These include family favorites, casual dining, fast food, bars, cafes and fine dining restaurants.
Travelers will have the opportunity to explore a variety of retailers for when at the airport. These include gifts and souvenirs, fashion and accessories, travel essentials, eyewear and sunglasses, beauty and cosmetics, sweets and candy, and the latest in technology and electronics.
The airport also offers a Departures lounge, offering a panoramic view of the Reykjanes peninsula and Faxafloi bay. Premium services include free Wi-Fi, a kid’s play area, refreshments, luxurious seating in front of a fireplace and shower facilities.
Bus: Two bus companies, Flybus and Airport Direct, run services between Reykjavik and the airport. The airport recommends pre-booking for these services.
Taxi: Taxi services are available at the airport 24 hours a day. Taxi stands are located directly outside the terminal on the Arrivals side.
Car rentals: Several car rental companies have operations at the airport. They can be found just outside the main terminal building.
Parking: The airport has three parking lots. These are available for short and long-term stays and can be located using our map at the top of this page.
