Incheon International Airport (ICN) also known simply as Incheon Airport is the main international airport serving Seoul, the capital city of South Korea. The airport is located 48km (30mi) west of Seoul, in Jung-gu, an administrative district of Incheon, west of Incheon’s city center.
It is one of the largest and busiest airports (19th) in the world and serves as the main hub for Korean Air, the flag carrier of Korea, as well as Asiana Airlines, Jeju Air, and Polar Air Cargo. It is a hub airport for the region of Northeast Asia.
The airport has two Terminals and a Midfield Concourse. The terminals are named Terminal 1 (Incheon T1) and Terminal 2 (Incheon T2).
Terminal 1 (Incheon T1): This terminal has 44 boarding ports. It is the larger of the two terminals and the largest airport terminal by area in South Korea. It features a Oneworld-branded and operated lounge that serves several airline partners.
Midfield Concourse: The concourse has 30 gates and six lounges. It is connected to Terminal 1 by two parallel, 870-metre-long underground passageways.
Terminal 2 (Incheon T2): This is the newer of the two terminals. It is equipped with its own set of pick-up and drop-off areas, short-term parking options, security check-ins and airport lounges.
Terminal 1 and the midfield concourse are connected by an underground passageway that includes an airport people mover called the IntraAirport Transit (IAT). Shuttle buses transport passengers between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.

There are so many options to choose from when it comes to dining and shopping activities at Incheon Airport. These are conveniently located on both sides of security in all three of the airport’s main terminals, including the midfield concourse area.
Dining availability includes sit down restaurants, cafes, packaged foods and takeaway options. Shops at the airport feature the latest in electronics, fashion, duty free items and more.
The airport offers several lounges for the benefit of travelers looking for added convenience.
All lounges are located on the 4th Floor, of their respective terminals and concourse.
Rail: The Airport Railroad Express (AREX) serves the local area and has two stations at the airport. One is located in the Transport Centre adjacent to Terminal 1 and the other is located in the basement of Terminal 2. For departing passengers, Seoul Station City Airport Terminal offers in-town early check-in services with immigration before arriving at the airport.
Shuttle Buses: Airport shuttles transport passengers between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. They arrive each 5 to 8 minutes, are free, and make en route stops at the Hyatt Hotel.
Public transit: Intercity busses and Airport buses, called limousine buses, connect the airport with other towns and cities in Korea.
Ferry: There is a ferry service that connects Yeongjong-do to the mainland. However, it requires additional means of transport to reach the ferry from the airport location.
Rental cars: Car rental agencies are conveniently located outside both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
Parking: Several parking options are available including valet parking, long-term and short-term stays. There are also electric-vehicle (EV) charging stations available.
There are two hotels at the airport, located conveniently in each terminal. In addition, the Grand Hyatt Incheon, a 5-star hotel, is located between the two terminals, and accessible by airport shuttle bus.
