Welcoming over 30 million yearly passengers in the last few years, Cancún International Airport (CUN) is one of the main hubs in Mexico, Latin America, and the Caribbean. This airport is located about 17 km south of Cancún and serves as a hub for Viva, a major low-cost airline in the country. Roughly 66 airlines operate here, offering flights to plenty of destinations all over the world.
Cancún Airport has four passenger terminals. If you need to change terminals, use the free shuttle service connecting all buildings.
Keep in mind that Cancún Airport is also home to an extra FBO terminal that doesn’t operate commercial flights.
If you plan to spend the night at the airport, you can book a room at Hilton Garden Inn. This is the only accommodation that can be reached with a quick walk from terminals 2 and 3. Other nearby hotels offer a complimentary shuttle service.
All passenger terminals have food options, but Terminal 4 tends to have fewer compared to the other two. Duty-free stores are only available in the departure areas.
