HotelWill Rogers World (OKC) is the busiest and largest hub in Oklahoma and one of the three airports serving Oklahoma City. It is located about 6 miles southwest of its downtown area and is used by eight airlines for their operations: United, Frontier, Southwest, Delta, Breeze, American, Allegiant, and Alaska. These offer direct flights to about 28 cities in the USA but no international direct route despite the word ‘world’ present in the airport’s name. In 2023, over 4.4 million passengers traveled to and from this airport, re-establishing OKC as a main hub in Oklahoma.
OKC consists of a single terminal divided into two floors:
Lower Level: This level is smaller in size and is home to the airlines’ carousels. Here, you will also find a mailbox, vending machines, courtesy phones, two information points, and a conference room.
Upper Level: This floor features ticket counters, security checkpoints, and gates. The West Concourse is home to Gates 1-12, while the Central Concourse houses Gates 14-24.
Unfortunately, there are no hotels inside the airport or in its vicinity. If you are planning to sleep here, you will have to find a hotel providing a shuttle service or rely on a taxi or another transportation option to head to your accommodation.
Will Rogers World Airport has several services and facilities for its passengers. Here, you will find a nursery for mothers, a pet relief area for those traveling with their four-legged friends, and unlimited free wifi. The upper floor is also home to several eateries and some stores for your last-minute purchases.
Unfortunately, public transportation doesn’t serve the airport. However, there are a few other options you can consider:
Taxi: Cabs are located in the Transportation Plaza, which can be reached from the baggage claim area. You will find the rates on the exterior of your taxi.
Car Share: Apps such as Uber and Lyft connect the airport to several destinations. You can find the pick-up area on the upper level. The area is labeled as ‘TNC Pick Up.’
Car Hire: If you prefer the comfort of having a car, you can rent one at the car rental facility on the airport grounds. A bus travels to and from this area and takes about 3-4 minutes.
