Chicago Midway International Airport opened almost 100 years ago and was the primary airport in Chicago until the opening of O’Hare International Airport in 1944. Today Midway Airport is an important hub in the area and offers non-stop connections to more than 90 destinations – the majority of them being domestic. The airport serves as a major base for Southwest Airlines, and the airline actually carries more than 90 percent of the passengers traveling out of MDW.

MDW has a single terminal building that houses three concourses: A, B and C. The three concourses are interconnected, making it easy for you as a passenger to move between them. Below you can learn a little more about each concourse.

• Concourse A: Concourse A primarily serves Southwest Airlines, with gates labeled A1 through A19. There are also a variety of retail shops and restaurants in this concourse.
• Concourse B: Concourse B is also dominated by Southwest Airlines and features gates B1 to B26.
• Concourse C: Although the smallest of the three, Concourse C provides a selection of gates, C1 to C3, and is primarily used for regional flights.
