Grand Rapids Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR) is a small hub primary commercial service facility located in Cascade Township, approximately 13 miles (21km) southeast of Grand Rapids, Michigan in the United States.
This airport is the largest commercial facility in Western Michigan and the second-largest airport in Michigan after Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW). It is named after Gerald R. Ford, the 40th Vice President and 38th President of the United States, who also served in the United States House of Representatives from 1949 to 1973, representing the Grand Rapids area.
The airport consists of a single passenger terminal that has two Concourses, A and B.
Inside the main entrance area is where the ticketing stations are located. Beyond this Departures Hall, are two parallel hallways that lead past some shops and dining areas to the main security checkpoint.
Once past the security clearance, are more shops and diners in a half-rotunda lobby area. From the rotunda lobby are two hallways that extend and split in two directions. One is to the south side of the airport, leading to Concourse A and the other is to the north side of the airport, leading to Concourse B.
Concourse A holds Gates A1-A16. Its main airline tenants are Delta Air Lines, American Airlines, and United Airlines.
Concourse B holds Gates B1-B8. Its main airline tenants are Southwest Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, Frontier Airlines, and Allegiant Air.
The baggage claim area for Arrivals are located inside the main entrance to the terminal, centrally between the ticketing stations. There is also another baggage claim station at the north end of the main entrance area to the terminal building.

The airport offers many dining options and shops for travelers to explore and enjoy while they are at the airport.
Dining outlets include popular cafes and coffee shops, packaged foods for takeaway, fast food and casual dining options, and high-quality sit-down family friendly restaurants.
Shops at the airport include newsstands that feature that latest in periodicals and convenience items, last minute travel essentials, packaged food for takeaway along with local gifts and souvenir items.
Other amenities and services at the airport include free Wi-Fi throughout the airport, electronic charging stations for mobile devices, kids’ playrooms and private nursing rooms for families traveling with newborns.
Bus: The Rapid bus system’s Route 27 services the airport Monday through Friday. Bus stop is located across from Door #4 outside the Arrivals area.
Taxi: Taxi services are available at Door #3 and Door #5 near the exit from the Arrivals Hall. Taxi starters are available to help assist passengers with their cab arrangements.
Rideshare: Ridesharing services are available at the designated location of Door #2 next to the exits from the Arrivals area.
Rental car: Several rental car companies operate services at the airport. Their rental car counters can be found on the first level of the parking garage, across the street from the terminal building.
Parking: Several parking services are available at the airport. These include premier parking at hourly rates with preferred access to the terminal. There are also short-term and long-term parking garages as well as a long-term surface lot and an economy lot at reduced rates. There is a free shuttle service that runs between the economy lot and the terminal. It does not run services to the long-term surface lot.
